Gavin is a renowned twenty four year old photographer from Central Washington. He picked up the camera at age seven and started Seim Photography at age Seventeen. His images are known for their classy cinematic feel, with individuality and vivid details. Gavin has gleaned his knowledge from some of the worlds leading photographers and plenty of hands on experience.

Heavily involved in the photography community, some of Gavin’s projects include Pro Photo Show, a photography podcast and website for pro photographers, as well as author of Seim Effects, a line of creative editing software for photographers. Who am I: Born January 1985 in Seattle to Grant & Sue Seim, I bought my first camera from a yard sale when I was seven. It promptly broke temporarily ending my photographic career. Around age twelve I really started getting serious about photography and photographed at my first wedding when I was sixteen. When I was seventeen I started Seim Photography.

I have no fancy degrees to prove I know what I’m doing. I’ll leave proof to my results. I’ve learned from some amazing photographers and by plenty of trial and error. I continue to learn and always will, by listening, observing and analyzing. I love talking shop and I really enjoy the technology behind photography and pushing the limits of what’s possible.

The Mission: In a world where good service seems to be in short supply, I like to tip the scales the other way a bit by making clients have a great experience. I’m not satisfied unless they are and I’m here to help make their experience and thier photos are unforgettable.

Where I go: I shoot mostly weddings and portraits on location throughout Washington State, but also in my Central WA studio. I also offer destination weddings, events and speaking engagements pretty much anywhere.

My Hobbies: Among other interests, I’m a ventriloquist, a square dance caller (ya different I know, but fun). I also do vocals even a little yodeling. Of course I’m a technology geek too. As if I’m not busy enough, my younger brother Nathan and I are in the process of writing some fiction novels.

My bottom line: I’m a Christian and I love my family, wife, kids and job. What good is having everything, if in reality I have nothing. God has blessed me and I plan to use the talent he loaned to me the best I can. I don’t know what’s coming tomorrow so I’ll take it as it comes and try to produce something of lasting value.

Sondra Seim. Assistant/Mom: (Facebook) I’m not the only one around here. My wife Sondra often joins me to help out on shoots, and also does the secretarial work for Seim Studios. She’s the best looking member of the Seim team. We were married in Spring of 2007 and while Sondra is not a photographer she helps out a lot in keeping the business flowing smoothly.

Cyrus. Seim. The PR Guy: Cyrus is our little boy. He’s was born Feb 2008, but he’s catching on fast. he loves gadgets electronics and computers and is shaping up to be a real nerd. He’s also known for flirting with any girl that will give him attention. Since he’s so cute that’s just about all of them. We love our boy. You can see more of him the blog.
