Kacey’s Senior Portrait Folio

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

I though I’d start posting some favorite folios from recent sessions. My digital Folios come with most senior packages and are a 10×10 2 page collage layout.

I design these similar to how I design my custom wedding albums. They come in a cool leatherette. It’s kinda like a two page book, and they look great on the mantle. I really like Kasey’s folio because if it’s bold color. Click for a BIG view. More coming soon.

Moses Lake Wedding for Amanda & Travis

Wednesday, October 1st, 2008

Saturday’s wedding was for Amanda and Travis. They were a really fun couple. You may recall I did an Engagement session for them a earlier this summer. The wedding was at a the Alliance Church in Moses Lake. Things went great except for a small hitch. Travis set the ring into a small safe and it got locked. No big deal except the combination was licked inside. His friends ended up having the break open the safe with sledge hammer to get to the ring, but everything went on as planned.

After the ceremony we went to the college campus.  We took some fun shots on the college baseball field. The over to the reception at the ATEC Center. It was a really nice location with plenty of room. Eric, our DJ from Audio FX kept the party going throughout the evening.  Here’s a few favorites. Senior Portraits in Ephrata for Brett:

Monday, September 29th, 2008

Here’s a fun senior session from a few days ago. We went to a few of the cool locations around Ephrata for some great shots. Football season is in full swing, and the portraits at the Tiger’s field are some of my personal favorites. They really conveyed Brett’s relaxed style. Brett also plays guitar so we got some fun shots of him playing as well. Here’s a few of my favorites. Click for larger views, and also check out the full gallery… Gav

Desert Sun

Friday, September 26th, 2008

A lone cowboy rides across the barren dessert atop his faithful sorrow. His silver spurs glisten in the hot afternoon sun as a dry wind rustles thru tumbleweeds caught on the countless boulders scattered along barren landscape. He looks out gloomily from under his weathered gray hat for a sign of the life giving water he seeks. There is none to be found. They trudge onwards.

OK enough of me trying to write. I have enough projects on my hands, including a couple books so I best not get started on another story. Besides that, this is a shot I took yesterday neat Ephrata lake. There was water and green not a hundred yards behind be. Interesting how fast the land around here can change.

Monument Hill: Washington Landcapes

Thursday, September 25th, 2008

I’m trying to take more time for nature and landscapes. Though I don’t make much monetary profit from it I get personal satisfaction by going out and enjoying the things God has put all around us. What’s funny is in my earlier years I did mostly nature. Aside from shooting nature because I enjoy it, it helps me hone my skills in all genres of photography, and com up with new ideas. When I shoot nature I’m humbled at how much I have to learn.

Meres a few high dynamic range shots taken from monument hill yesterday. It was a cloudy hazy day and I tried to use it to my advantage. Click them for a larger view… Gav
