HoneyBee Portraits

Sunday, April 27th, 2008

I was about to head in to the studio today, when a group of honeybees headed up by Chuck here came to the door and asked if I shot on Sundays.

I said I could, providing it was early enough so I could still make the Sunday dinner and bible study with my family. Chuck said we could do the shoot right away, so I grabbed a camera and off we went.

It makes me feel good to see these hard working little beauties at work. I love spring :-) Gav

Awsome Power

Monday, April 21st, 2008

This is a shot I took at sunrise overlooking Coulee City WA. I like shooting photography that blends the Awesome power of nature, and mans work at making strides.

Hight tension power lines always fascinate me. Think of the sheer size, and how many of these steel monsters stretch across the land bringing us energy.
Yet for all the power we can produce this steel beast still look small against the amazing power of God’s creation! Gav

Country Dreams… The Meadow Barn

Saturday, March 8th, 2008

This is an image taken along HWY 12 in Washington State. It part of my Fine Art collection that I hope to have an online store for sometime soon. In the meantime I deiced I would share them with you as I make them. Obviously this started as a photograph, and I spent some time on the digital rt side to make it what it is.

This is a real spot, and not a scene patched together from various images. What I like about it most is that peaceful dreamy feel. The sun is shining in from the left in the morning rise, and moments before a group of Deer wondered off at from side.
