I‘m Gavin Seim, and I shoot food photography for restaurants on location throughout Washington, Oregon, & Idaho. Or in my Ephrata WA Studio. All sessions are designed around your needs. Design & consulting services are free of charge. On location photography is done using a digital tethered technology with live computer previews of images as they are taken allowing you to be involved in the results as they happen. I am also in the experimental stages with a new technology called HDR so please ask me about this for more details.
Why Photography?
Having images of your entrees, desserts, and drinks puts you in control. I worked with Sea Galley Restaurant in Yakima WA for a shoot, and we shot a session with two varieties of holiday pie for a table tent. The results were impressive. The items that the restaurant guests saw was what they purchased. Not only does food imagery put you in control of the items you want to sell most, it also makes your guest comfortable since they know what they’re getting before they order, making them more likely to buy your premium items.
What can you have done?
From a simple table tent of a desert, to a full color menu design with photography. I offer full menu design and layouts from scratch, or I can take your photo’s and send them to a menu designer you already use. Either way using color menu’s with images gives your restaurant the visual appeal you want. I also offer consultation to those interested in printing their own menu’s in house, adding flexibility and savings.
What is the cost?
Cost for photography and design varies by project. I can take on any job large or small, but having more done at once saves you money. I also offer free consultation, helping clients to start printing their own menu’s, and marketing materials to add flexibility, and save money over sending your items out for printing. Custom food shoots can be more affordable than you think however starting at under 1k for completed images.
